A Sports Moment In
Time -
A Sports Moment in Time
is an offshoot of the nationally syndicated show "A Moment
in Time" with Dan Roberts which has been airing on NPR
stations across the country for 18 years. Approximately two
years ago, Dan Roberts retained the services of Lythos Studios
to create a commercial version of this programming with a
refinement directed to a sports niche. This particular sports
show highlights sports moments that are specific to the weeks
of the season's events. The show covers all sporting events
that are relevant to both the listening audience and the sports
of the season with the addition of a human interest approach
to make the topic even more interesting and dynamic.
Dan Roberts is a history professor at the University
of Richmond for over 20 years. He lives in both Richmond Virginia
and Ft. Lauderdale Florida, when the University is not in
session. Dan is the author of Time to Read, to be published
this May 2012. This book was designed to teach English to
the non-speaking English population. Dan is also the Chair
of the Liberal Arts Department at the School of Professional
and Continuing Studies at the University of Richmond.
Lythos Studios is a regional advertising
and marketing firm operating in Richmond Virginia with clients
such as Virginia Farm Bureau, Commonwealth of Virginia, and
St. John's Church Foundation, where Patrick Henry delivered
his famous "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" speech
in 1775.

Host Glenn Hansen is a
seasoned radio pro with experience in a number of major markets,
including Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Milwaukee. He
currently works part-time as an announcer for Country/FM 106
in Milwaukee. In addition, he does imaging for a number of
radio stations around North America including the markets
of Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Boston, Austin,
Wichita and Columbus. He has also worked as a Newsman for
five years for the Relevant Radio Network. His knowledge of
news and current events has been instrumental in the development
of his new program, News To Amuse.
