Jim has been involved with stocks and investments since his college days where he interned with a brokerage firm in Philadelphia. After he graduated and moved to New York he became an over the counter market maker in equities at a major brokerage and investment bank. He soon learned arbitrage and left to manage money for institutional clients at several multi-billion dollar hedge funds. He then started his own full service institutional brokerage and investment bank that he ran and built successfully for ten years before selling it in 2009. Most recently he started and manages a research boutique focusing on micro-cap undervalued and unknown companies. Starting the "Small Talk Radio" show seemed a natural fit with his background and knowledge of the industry especially today with the lack of exposure in the small, micro and nano cap sector of the market.
